OK, I've received some friendly flak concerning the status of our pests. Are they rats, or are they tiny, defenseless mice? Your honor, I submit this photo as exhibit A:
You be the judge. In case you were wondering, that's 14 inches from tip to tail. And its not EVEN the biggest one I've seen. That's 4-0 for those keeping score...

Okay, okay, I believe you. What I really want to know is how you know it is 14 inches. Did you touch it, stretch it out, and measure it? I truly hope that the rats are gone soon. That cannot be fun!
FOURTEEN inches!!! That's definitely a RAT!
Since we used to live in the country in KS, we have lots of experience with rodents. One time Mike tried to use the sticky traps. They worked great...until he got the bright idea of trying to reuse one by pulling off the dead mouse. Let's just say that the skin of the mouse came off...but everything else was STUCK to the trap!! I don't recommend those traps!
That is too funny. I have a teacher whose dog found the sticky mouse trap with a mouse on it and it stuck to his nose, so he was walking around with a mouse and a trap on his nose, wish they would have gotten a picture of that...
Cloe is not at all in favor of what we are doing...she feels we are being sneaky by putting food on the trap....
We've also had RATS!!! We had a family on the back porch because we had our firewood stacked there. When we moved the stack out to the yard the family just followed. We've seen rats as big or bigger than your picture all the way to newborn babies. YUCK!!! David killed some with D-con, but maybe we need to try some traps! OOOHHH gross!!!

So, I finally check your blog to see if you've updated and I have to see this! I have a "thing" about rodents. I'm not going to able to come back until your war is over.
