I'm sitting in my office this morning taking a moment to slow down (and write this post). I got in a little late this morning due to the traffic and the rain, so I hit my chair running (can you do that?). I fired off a few docs, put the finishing touches on some graphics and registration forms, zipped down the hall to pick them up from the printer and deliver them to their intended recipient. I cruised back down the hallway and prepared to slam back into my seat to tackle the next "to do" when I thought, "Whoa, big fella. What's the rush?"
I am wired to hurry. Even when I'm not in a hurry...I'm in a hurry. No major deadlines looming, no outside pressure, nothing urgent...I'm just in a rush. And when I rush, I find that I'm less attentive to others, less patient, more uptight, and less able to listen to and respond to God.
So...today I'm slowing down. The earth will still spin, our world will rage on, but I'm kicking things down a notch. I think that's what God would have me do. What about you?

Tim,
This is Marisa from Finland.
I do hope that this message will reach you. This was the only contact information I could find. I have tried to send you a message to thank you for all your prayers regarding our baby boy Jeremias. I am currently in the hospital with Jeremias and for some reason my Facebook-pages are not working, although I am able to use the internet and my regular e-mail (my e-mail is marisa.palmberg@helsinki.fi). I would like to thank you so much for all the prayers. My baby son just turned 7 months. He is very happy and active. I feel that God has been with us and is helping us through this. Amazing things have happened! Currently the doctors are uncertain about the diagnosis. They do know that he has a benign rare lung disease which he will outgrow. They now say that they have to rule out immunodeficiency as their initial diagnosis was pneumonia due to severe immunodeficiency based on their laboratory findings. They don´t know why he has low immunoglobulins. We are praying that God will completely heal Jeremias. I feel that when they found the benign lung disease it was a direct answer to my prayers. Children with this lung disease need their nocturnal oxygen, they do however outgrow their condition!!! I would reall, really appreciate if it would be possible for you to pray for God to heal Jeremias and heal his immunesystem. I hope that I am not being rude now asking for this...
Jeremias really needs prayers. He really needs prayuers that his immunesystem is intact.
Thank you so much for all the prayers! I am so grateful to you and every one who has prayed for us!
Thank you so much! All the best to you and your beautiful family!
